GlassFeather Studio Mission: To create a community arts center that fosters artistic skill-based learning and a creative outlet for the community.  This is accomplished by offering a variety of art classes, encouraging personal expression and integrating artistic skills into daily life.  The studio will also have visiting artists on a monthly basis and offer recreational community events.

General Course Information:  The studio is dedicated to offering a diverse selection of creative classes, with the intent to give people in the community a creative and social outlet.  Our main focus is visual arts and we will continue to bring in new artists and courses.  Classes are geared toward adults, unless it’s otherwise stated (child or youth) in the course description.

Information on Instructors:  Our instructors are carefully chosen through an application process and we require artists to have a pertinent educational degree, professional teaching and /or artistic experience in the area being taught.  Our current artists are all local to Upstate New York and have valuable creative information to share with you!

History of the GlassFeather Building:  The studio is located in the former St. Williams Church in the town of Conesus.  The building served as a church since 1850 and still has much of the same charm and character.  We have kept the stain glass windows intact and the exterior of the building still looks like a church.  The church is a work in progress, as we continue to renovate the space into a home and studio space.  Our goal is to make the space functional for its new purpose, while keeping the historical qualities.
